Become your own detective and follow steps that are essential to uncover truth. What is real, not merely allegations or fabrications can be substantiated, verified through evidence.
Distortion and manipulations have a self benefiting purpose, having no concern for wellbeing of others a premeditated outcome, very controlled as to disallow chance or risk.
Hearing allegations or defamation of your character from sources certainly is painful, but is also part of a narcissists pathological disorder, becoming a suffering victim to gain an advantage of sympathy of others that are willing to hear "words" and not ask for any accountability but assume all is truthful.
For your sake begin to keep a journal, record dates, times, factual info. that you will maintain and use as a reference guide to keep your own sanity and focusalso for legal purposes.
There is nothing you can do to prevent the others action, but knowing when they have crossed illegal lines will have implications and consequences.
A narcissist will stay within best behavior if aware that others are watching and are not buying into his sad pathetic story.
Integrity becomes your most essential tool, set a standard for yourself and terms that the other must abide by. Setting firm boundaries that create emotional distance and clearly defined lines of accountability and responsible action, this will dinstinctly set you apart from the implusive nature and irrationality of the disordered narcissist.
Personalities do not suddenly become disordered, but become uncontrolable and dangerous, protect yourself against further damage. Reply to this
