It isn't a virus, bacteria or a gene but narcissism is toxic to those who share their lives with them, especially close family---spouses, children siblings. I have communicated with a number of individuals who report narcissistic abuse going back several generations.
Some people are surrounded by narcissists: mothrs fathers and siblings. The pattern of returning to narcissistic spouses and seeking other narcissistic partners can be stopped and it can begin with you.

The narcissist is all image. Behind closed doors he is the opposite of Dr. Jekyll---He is the psychotic wild Mr. Hyde.  Most people never see the  narcissist behind closed doors. No one believes how monstrous these individuals can be. No one believes you. You are exaggerating. Your perceptions are skewed. Your emotions are ruling you.

Stay with your truth. Some narcissists are so extreme with their rage ruthlessness and complete lack of empathy it stretches belief.
