Narcissists Have More Than Nine Lives

Many times I have seen narcissists rise to great heights, then pulled down by their grandiose visions. They go bankrupt and are dried. Yet they rise again like a phoenix. It is shocking that a human being so exploitive can get away with this outrageous behavior. This is done with great stealth. Narcissists go through cycles of deaths and resurrections. On outside they are charming and magnetic. They are surrounded by devoted followers, brainwashed, who treat the narcissist in a godlike manner. Narcissists move forward to their next big success. They fail to pay rents, mortgages, payments on planes, helicopters, etc. They stiff everyone and get away with it. They hire attorneys who help them to duck out on all of their legal responsibilities. They create layers and layers of lies and subterfuges that conceal everything they own.
The narcissist goes private for a while. Soon he is back with some old followers and new acolytes ready for another cycle of death and resurrection. That's bad enough-----but all of the destruction these venal people leave behind is monstrous. Spouses, children, friends, business partners are emotioannly harmed. In some cases family members become physically ill as a resuslt of the narcissist's treacherous acts. Narcissists marry frequently, have children whom they ignore and abandon. This is not hyperbole. When these behaviors become so destructive that others are mortally harmed, the narcissist has blurred over into the sociopathic realm.
My advice is to learn every thing you can about the narcissistic personality. Arm yourself with specific exact knowledge so that you know who these people really are. You will recognize them in short order, remove yourself from their lives and influence. I am in litigation with a former landlord who refuses to return my security deposit. After listening to your blog I realized that she is a high level narcissist. She has filed bankruptcy more than once and has lied to me in person, over the phone and through email. I am a rule follower and I have pursued the case through the courts but I realized today that this is all just a game to her. She will fight me at every turn just to fight me. She could not care less about my money or how this has affected me financially. The bankruptcy court told me I will not see my money from her for several years. I know that I need to let this go and get on with the positive parts of my life. Understanding the narcissistic personality truly helps. Thanks for everything that you are blogging.

It's amazing the destruction they leave behind. And they are ceaseless seemingly...even after years they keep the same tenacity. They're like the monster that won't die. When they "lose" a court case, or are unable to control their "object/target", they do suffer narcissitic injury though. They get really frustrated if their puppets don't do what they want them to do. They also hate to be "ignored". When they do something to cause a reaction in you, and you don't respond...they lose it.
