The catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico continues and no one knows for sure when or how it will end. Some of the damage is irreparable to human occupants of the gulf and the millions of  marine creatures that make these precious waters, marshes, wetlands and islands their home. It will take years to begin to recover what has been lost---an entire way of life for all of those who share this fragile beautiful environment.
