There are as many styles and levels of narcissistic spiritual gurus as there are spiritual cycles and movements. The spiritual narcissist is often very attractive, dynamic and charismatic and magnatizes individuals to him or her.  They appeal to that part of us that feels inadequate and unworthy.  Many are seeking the golden key or formula that will take us beyond suffering.  Take note of the red flags that fly when you are dealing with a spiritual narcissist: Pay close attention to the money meter. Is the spirtual narcissist charing exobitant fees for his/her seminars, workshops, retreats, etc. Are people being pressured to take advance classes that wll bring the narcissist teacher even more money. The spiritual narcississt is two faced. He/she appears to be the embodiment of spirituality in public but in his private life, he is exceedingly demanding, manipulative and often out of control  Becoming spiritually awakened does not cost money. It requires dedication, persistence and discipline through many obstacles along the path. The spiritual journey is a a straight line in the fast lane; it is a marathon made of many small deliberate consistent steps.
