Narcissist-Psychological Tyrant

Like a despot on a throne, the narcissist rules his kingdom with absolute power.  He or she may be full of charm, charisma, and intriguing personal qualities, but beneath these superficialities, the narcissist  controls everyone and everything in his environment.  He expects his intimates, business associates, friends and acquaintances to mirror him perfectly.  Since he believes that he is impeccable, the narcissist demands absolute obedience from everyone. The narcissist is a master at controlling others.  He uses clever manipulations, promises of rewards (which are often empty) ,and intimidations to ensure that he maintains absolute power.  Those who are not "Yes" men or women are ejected from the narcissist's inner circle without hesitation. The narcissist plays favorites that depend on the quantity and quality of ego satisfactions he is receiving from a particular individual.  No one ever wins  with a narcissist. These individuals sap the creative energy of others, steal their concepts and ideas and take credit for them, and constantly criticize even their most loyal lieutenants. Becoming dependent upon and psychologically and emotionally  entrenched with a narcissist is a losing proposition. He or she has co-opted your life. Eventually the narcissist uses people up when his appetite is satiated and throws what is left to the winds. Learning how to identify, deal with and protect yourself from narcissists provides you with an invaluable resource in a world that bows and caters so often to their outrageous demands.  Visit my website: www.thenarcissistinyourlife.com
