Narcissists do not Initiate Psychotherapy
Narcissists are very difficult to change. Generally, they do not go into psychotherapy. The know that they are superior to others, including spouses, partners, family members, co-workers, bosses, and eveyone else. High level narcissists who succeed famously in the world are continually rewarded with power and material inducements and praise that reinforces their extreme sense of self entitlement and grandiosity. When there are problems with a marriage or partnership, the narcissist blames the other party. Why would someone who is "perfect" ever want to be involved in psychotherapy. The partner of the narcissist can develop a valuable undnerstanding of how and why narcissists behave the way they do and apply successful strategies for dealing with the narcissists in their lives.
